Subscribing
Open Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Navigate to your NTU Timetable either in NOW or on the Staff Portal, and select “Subscribe to iCal”.
If you are brought to the NOW Sign-on screen, enter your NTU username and password as normal.
You should then be taken to the following screen
Firefox users only
If you are using Firefox you will see the Launch Application window displayed.
- Make sure that Microsoft Outlook is highlighted
- Select OK
All users will see the windows below
- Select Allow
Select Yes
Combining both Calendars
Your NTU timetable will now be imported into Outlook, and after a few seconds should automatically appear alongside your normal Outlook calendar as below.
To overlay the two calendars click on the small arrow highlighted in the picture above
This should give you the following result.
Above article and pdf need to have https://learndev.ntu.ac.uk/d2lcas/tools/timetable/icalendar.asp switched for https://now.ntu.ac.uk/d2lcas/tools/timetable/icalendar.asp to ensure continued operation.
Has anyone managed to work out how to print the merged version?

I can see it but what I really need is for the entry in my timetable to be in my outlook calendar so other people can see my total comitted hours not just my diary.
As above - I need this to be visible to others in my outlook calendar and also to be able to see it in Web Mail. How can the ical be indelibly embedded in Outlook - and not just available to view as in the example above?
The ical/icalendar feed also works with Outlook 2013 (tested with 64bit version on windows 2008).
The steps are slightly different in that some of the prompts don't appear but the result is the same.
Do you know how to get this to work with Outlook 2011 (Mac)?
Hi Peter,
I will log a ticket and ask someone to get back to you.
https://support.ntu.ac.uk/entries/22162623-Accessing-your-NTU-Timetable-from-Outlook-Alternative-Method - can be used if you get the "Navigation to the web site has been cancelled" when clicking the link
The "Navigation to the web site has been cancelled" message if it appears is due to the machine not knowing what to do with the file under the link.
Normal NTU machines should have .ics file type associated with outlook 2010 by default so it should just work, a few machines don't seem to have the association always set.
Two solutions:
1) Use the method described in https://support.ntu.ac.uk/entries/22162623-Accessing-your-NTU-Timetable-from-Outlook-Alternative-Method to manually subscribe outlook 2010 to the feed.
2) Repair the association. Just finding out the best way to resolve this issue if it occurs
